Where we go in Manhattan
Manhattan work is apartment work. Most visits are in pre-war co-ops and doorman buildings, where the ceilings are high, the rooms are narrow, and the best light is whatever the street-facing windows give us. We travel light for that reason: one bag of equipment, one lamp, and a chair pulled over to the brightest corner of the room.

Getting past the front desk
Most doorman buildings want visitors announced, and some route service calls to a separate entrance or the freight elevator. Tell us the building's rule when you book and we will follow it. Our specialists arrive without branding on anything, so to the desk it is simply a visitor for your apartment.
We usually arrive by subway
Parking a car in Manhattan costs more time than the drive saves, and alternate-side rules make street spots unreliable, so on the island we come by train and walk the last few blocks. It makes our arrival windows tighter, not looser.
Small rooms are fine
A kitchen chair, an outlet for the lamp, and about three feet of clear floor is the whole setup. Pre-war bathrooms are usually too tight to work in, so we set up at the kitchen table or beside a living-room window instead.
